Dennis spent decades caring for others — first in hospital operating rooms, then in home health care. When he retired, he picked up the pen. The stories came from everywhere: his mother, his granduncle's 1947 travel diary, his marriage to Jocelyn, and a little apricot character named Appy who teaches children to keep going.
